Photos are a key element on your website and they can be a major influence on how long visitors stay on the site, how often they return and whether they tell anyone about the site. Now your have an image that has too much stuff on it. So you have a lot to work with. You can make it a tall image by taking off some of the sides. You can make it a wide picture by taking off some of the top or some of the bottom or both.

With this image that is too big you have a lot of options for editing and that can create multiple uses. On one page of your site you might need it in a right column. So you can make it tall and skinny. On another page you may need it for a wide background. So you can make it long and wide. So in this case one image has created two for your website.
